Photografic Enlargement
We combine modern technology coupled with traditional craftsmanship to produce digital and analogue results of the highest quality.
We combine modern technology coupled with traditional craftsmanship to produce digital and analogue results of the highest quality.
Color
With the use of a horizontal enlarger, we are able to produce traditional high-quality analogue prints up to 500 cm x 180 cm, from negatives. Test prints can be produced upon request, and prints can be produced directly from the negatives to paper and slide material.
Black & White
In our darkroom we can produce traditional baryta black & white prints from your negatives up to a size of 80 x 60 cm. These are handcrafted completely. From the exposure to developing to drying in our heat press. The thick natural fibre base paper is available with a matt or glossy surface.
We are also able to offer incredibly large, high-quality digital enlargements by using the biggest photographic printer in the world: the LightJet 500 XL. It produces single-lane prints up to 300 cm x 180 cm. Image sizes above this are achieved by printing several lanes, which are then joined by splicing. The seams are retouched so that they are virtually invisible. For smaller prints (127 cm material width) a Durst Lambda printer is available.
We pride ourselves on doing what others can’t. Whilst the majority of printmakers rely on digital finishing, we continue to complement our art production services by offering traditional, analogue finishes.
Analogue Retouching
We have decades of experience of retouching and restoring photographic prints, negatives and transparencies. Which is why we can guarantee that any damage we see can be retouched and restored to be virtually invisible and colourfast.
Splicing
In order to produce image sizes bigger than the maximum print size, we use “splicing”. Individual parts of an image are printed separately on several lanes, which are joined together. We then retouch the cut edges so that they are virtually invisible.
Images cut to size
We can cut photos – from individual images to large print runs, manually or by machine – and accurate to within a millimetre, as required by the customer.
